Creative Court UK – Education Outreach in Schools

The National Justice Museum’s Creative Court UK team takes an artist-designed pop-up courtroom into schools to provide interactive learning about citizenship, justice and the law.

The learning programme was launched as a four-month pilot in schools in London, Nottingham and the North West in November 2017. It was supported by Arts Council England funding.

The National Justice Museum is now building on the success of the pilot, developing the programme for roll out to primary schools in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, in spring 2019.

Key programme objectives

  • Develop greater awareness and understanding of British values, civic responsibility and the law.
  • Help children and young people to become responsible citizens and learn what a difference they can make to the future of law-making.
