National Justice Museum Education and Shakespeare’s Globe are offering a series of two-day interactive workshops exploring three of Shakespeare’s most well-known plays. Students begin with a lecture and a workshop exploring characters and motivation in the play. This is followed by watching a performance of the play at the Globe Theatre. Students will then put one of the characters on trial at the Royal Courts of Justice, as they use a courtroom workshop to analyse, discuss and enact legal themes from the play.
Please note: No prior knowledge of the play is necessary, as day one of the course will include an introductory lecture and workshop from the Globe Education Practitioners.
Location: Shakespeare’s Globe (Day 1) & the Royal Courts of Justice (Day 2)
Curriculum Links: English Literature, Law, Drama, History, Theology and Philosophy
Duration: 2 days (finishing times vary depending on the play)
Cost: £100 per student, including tickets to the performance
You can also combine this activity with one of our Courtroom Workshops.
