Come and enjoy free family activities during the school holidays

Fairy Tale Crafts
Free, every day of the summer holiday, except Friday mornings when you can join our free Make and Create workshops.
Join us every day over the summer holidays for a range of free family crafts, to coincide with our free Women in Fairy Tales exhibition. Activities will vary but could include colouring in, finger puppets, make and take crowns & masks. Taking place in the Transformers Room.

Free, all welcome
On Fridays join us from 10am-12.30pm for our regular Make and Create Friday creative workshops, plus on the first Wednesday of each month from 1pm-3.30pm we have Creative Afternoon Workshops open to all.

Fairy Tale Trials
Recommended for ages 4-7 years
Every Monday, Wednesday & Saturday from 22 July – 1 September
at 1.30pm, 2.30pm & 3.30pm.

Was Cinderella’s stepmother really very wicked? Did the queen really poison Snow White? In these fun, family-friendly courtroom workshops, you will take on the roles and characters in a courtroom and put your favourite fairy tale characters on trial!

Fairy Tale Storytelling
Every Monday, Wednesday & Saturday from 22 July – 1 September
10.15am, 11.15am & 12pm
Recommended for ages 4-7 years
Free
Our story tellers will bring to life traditional fairy tales stories using props and sounds. Each session lasts approximately 20 minutes and will be located in our free exhibition space.

Fairy Tale Character Trail
Suitable for all ages
Throughout the Museum, 20 July – 3 November
Please note, this trail forms part of paid Museum entry
Go on our fun trail and see if you can find five giant objects from fairy stories lurking around our Museum, including a glass slipper and a gigantic candy cane!
