Crime Club: Georgian Nottingham's Most Wanted

To celebrate our 30th Anniversary and the 30th Crime Club event, we’re taking a step back in time! We’re bringing back our very first Crime Club event from 2019. If you missed it six years ago, here’s your chance to experience it again; this time with the added drama of a PowerPoint presentation sharing maps, images, and evidence from the crimes!
Join us as we uncover the stories of three notorious figures of 18th-century Nottingham:

  • Timothy Buckley, the feared highwayman
  • William Horne, the man who got away with murder for 25 years
  • James Brodie, the brutal blind beggar

Each lived a life steeped in crime and infamy, and each ultimately met the same grim end on the gallows.

Real crimes. Real stories. Real evidence.

Join us for the latest instalment of Crime Club on Thursday 20 November, a chance to discover more about infamous crime cases from history. Free drink included!

Tickets £15.50 full price/£14.50 concessions* – Booking essential.

This event is suitable for over 18's only, proof of I.D. may be required. Please be aware that some of the material covered may be sensitive in nature.

It was very interesting, the chap who did the talk had a great mix of warmth and humour. A thoroughly enjoyable evening.
