Respect the rules and guidance. Protect yourself and each other. Enjoy your visit!

The well-being of everyone visiting or working in this museum is our priority. Here’s what we’re doing to keep everyone Covid secure, and what you can do to help.

Social Distancing

In line with the latest government requirements, you can only visit the museum or City of Caves individually or with members of your own household or support bubble. There can also be no mixing between households or bubbles during your visit. For more information, please click here.

Please follow the signposted one way system and keep the current recommended distance from others at all times. Wait for others to clear smaller or any busy areas before entering.

Test and Trace

Test and Trace is now required by law. We support the NHS Test and Trace initiative and will ask for some of your details to help stop the spread of Covid-19. Your details will be stored for 21 days. For more information, please click here.

Face Coverings

National Justice Museum Face coverings are now compulsory when you visit museums and visitor attractions. Please wear a face covering throughout your tour of the museum.

City of Caves Visitors must also wear face coverings at all times when they are in the City of Caves.

Hand Sanitizer

Hand sanitizer is available at various points throughout the museum. Please use it regularly during your visit.

All facilities will be cleaned regularly by staff.

Contactless Payments

Whilst we’d prefer you use contactless payments during your visit, we will still be accepting cash.

Feeling Unwell?

Please don’t enter the museum if you’re required to remain in isolation due to current government guidelines.

Lift Access

If you require lift access to the museum, please call us on 0115 952 0555 so that we can help plan your visit.

A Secure Way of Working

Our teams will work hard to make you very welcome and feel confident during your visit. We maintain distinct daily groups, or bubbles, of staff who do not mix. Each bubble member takes part in a daily team briefing emphasizing the importance of regular hand washing and hand sanitizing. Our staff wear face coverings and full-face shields and will ensure they maintain a two-metre distance at all times.

We have a rigorous cleaning regime covering staff areas as well as the rest of the building.  We also check members of our teams are safe and healthy before they come on-site

Further Guidance on Covid Security
