Crime Club Repeat: Victorian Criminal Mastermind

Please note this is a repeat of a previous Crime Club event in March 2026.

Victorian Britain produced many notorious criminals, but few captured the public imagination or troubled the police quite like Charlie Peace. Active from the 1850s to the late 1870s, he was regarded in his own lifetime as the most prolific and elusive professional criminal in England. Famed for his ingenuity, disguises and false identities, Peace repeatedly evaded capture and frustrated police forces across multiple counties, including Nottinghamshire.

Real crimes. Real stories. Real evidence.

Join us for Crime Club on Thursday 25 June, a chance to discover more about infamous crime cases from history and see an instalment you might have missed the first time. Free drink included!
