Ding Dong Merrily and Die: A Festive Murder Mystery

It’s December of 1953, and you’ve been invited to a Christmas murder mystery dinner at the Shire Hall, which will be performed by the Broadmarsh Players AmDram Society*.

 A shortage of actors has meant that some of the behind-the-scenes staff have had to join the principal actors for the show to go on!

This classic detective game has everyone dressed in their character colours, but as the plot unfolds, it seems the actors may be hiding more than meets the eye, behind their fictional roles.

This immersive event puts the audience at the centre of the murder case. Can you uncover the truth by interviewing the suspects, examining the clues and playing detective to crack the unsolved murder case from their past?

Will the actors' true colours be revealed, or will they continue to get away with murder?

*Not a real amateur dramatics society.

Tickets

£62.50 per person including:

* Three-course Christmas meal
* Arrival cocktail or mocktail
* Immersive murder mystery event in our historic courtroom and gaol

Your Evening

Arrive 6.00pm to 6.45pm for a complimentary cocktail. Doors close promptly 6.45pm

You will then be ushered into our grand courtroom for the murder mystery event. Something unexpected has happened, and you must interview suspects in different locations around the museum to track down the murderer. Don't miss the possible evidence each suspect is holding.

Your Christmas meal is served from 8.15pm.

Discover the clues on the murder investigation board available to see all evening and in your investigation packs during your meal.

You can mull over the crime throughout your dinner to complete your sleuth pack. This is handed in before the big ‘whodunnit reveal’ in our courtroom... Will justice be served?

The evening concludes at approximately 10.30pm.

Food and Drink

All guests will receive the meat eaters' menu as standard unless we are informed of any dietary requirements at least 3 weeks in advance.

Guests are expected to inform the museum if they require a vegetarian or vegan meal or have any specific requirements, allergies, or intolerances (for example, gluten-free). Please get in touch with our team via email: hospitality@nationaljusticemuseum.org.uk at least 3 weeks before your event.

We do not have a full kitchen on site, so ingredients are prepared in advance. Our catering team will happily accommodate allergies and intolerances with alternative dishes if we are able to let them know at least 3 weeks in advance.
