Reframing Identity: From Mugshots to Monotype

Join artist Marcia Porto to explore the expressive possibilities of monotype printmaking.

Inspired by the National Justice Museum’s collection, the workshop takes historical mugshots (front and profile police portraits) as a starting point for reflecting on observation and identity.

Participants will explore Cubism as inspiration to create new interpretations of the portrait. Through monotype, they will produce original artworks that encourage reflection, experimentation, and fresh perspectives on identity and representation.
