Pocket Museums

What would you put in your own museum? What images frame your own history? How do we preserve the memory of an object that is lost to us?

Join artist Millie Quick to craft a ‘Pocket Museum’. Looking at the '30 Objects Representing Justice' exhibition will inspire us to discuss what makes an object worth preserving. These objects from over 800 years of the history of crime and punishment each have a tale to tell us.

Making slot-in-stand-up sketches of items that are meaningful to us, we can choose textiles and customise envelopes to protect and embellish these powerful images and the stories they tell.

Whether you’re a doodler or a skilled at detailed drawing, there’s no wrong way to build these pictures, and we’ll play with materials and perspective to really make the idea shine.
