Restriction & Repetition

Prison life is monotonous, repetitive, and full of routine in a strictly controlled and bland environment. Artist Mary Broddle, inspired by traditional Japanese sashiko and boro techniques, will take workshop participants through the process of collaging monochrome fabrics and using a repetitive running stitch to secure and restrain the fabric.

This workshop is suitable for all skill levels, including complete beginners.
