Textures of Justice

Join artist Jenny Stevenson for an art workshop inspired by the National Justice Museum’s collection. Together, we will look closely at selected exhibits, including The Krays’ Shirt, historic hats, and archival ledgers, noticing textures, patterns, and small details that might otherwise be overlooked.

Through quick drawings and notes, you’ll gather visual ideas before moving into the workshop space to create your own 9-square collage grid. Using fabric, buttons, trims, ribbon, and paper, you’ll experiment with layering and composition to translate your observations into a series of textured collaged squares.

Each grid will be a personal response to the objects and the stories they hold. The workshop is open to all levels of experience, and you will leave with your own collage to take home.
