Bear with Clay
Join us for Bear with Clay, a hands-on creative workshop in celebration of International Polar Bear Day. Polar bears are a favourite subject for beginners working with clay—expressive, characterful, and perfect for exploring simple sculpting techniques. In this session, you’ll be guided step-by-step to handbuild your own unique polar bear sculpture, learning how to shape, texture, and bring your creation to life.
Alongside the making process, we’ll reflect on the real polar bears that inspire us. As climate change continues to threaten Arctic habitats, this workshop offers a gentle space to consider why conservation matters and how small actions can support a healthier planet. Suitable for all levels, Bear with Clay blends creativity, environmental awareness, and mindful making. All materials are provided, and your finished sculpture will be taken home to dry.
