During this one hour session, students have the opportunity to learn about the history of the Royal Courts of Justice in London through exploring some of the key spaces within the building.

Court in Session workshops are suitable for key stages 2 - 5 and beyond. Students will explore a contemporary criminal or civil case and take part in an interactive courtroom workshop.

Court in the Past

Court in the Past is suitable for key stages 2 - 5 and beyond. Students will explore a historical criminal or civil court case and take part in an interactive courtroom workshop.

Motion to Appeal

Motion to Appeal is suitable for key stages 4 - 5 and above. Students will explore a contemporary appeal case and take part in an interactive courtroom workshop.

Points of Law

Points of Law is suitable for key stage 5 and above. Students will explore a contemporary criminal or civil court case of national importance that focuses on a specific point of law.

Victorian study day

During this cross-site study day, students visit both the London Metropolitan Archives and the Royal Courts of Justice to explore crime and punishment during the Victorian era.

Theatre of Law

“Theatre of Law” is an innovative project introducing London primary school children to the legal and criminal justice system.

Rolls Building

Rolls Building Arts and Education trust, this workshop offers students the chance to enact a trial and meet a High Court judge.

Shakespeare on trial

National Justice Museum Education and Shakespeare’s Globe offer a series of workshops exploring Shakespeare’s most well-known plays.
